Funeral Date: 1/11/2020

Obituary:
Sue Carolyn Baker Thomasson, age 66, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Sue was born on February 19, 1953, in Warren, Arkansas to the late James Tillman Baker and Margie Grider Baker. Sue was a 1971 graduate of Warren High School. She married F. W. “Bill” Thomasson on March 27, 1972, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where they lived and worked for several years before relocating to Pratt, Kansas where they have resided for the past 37 years. Sue was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her Red Velvet Cake. She loved growing and cooking with her own vegetables, but she would tell anyone that there was nothing better than a “Bradley County” tomato. Sue had an uncanny ability of developing friendships and having a positive influence on everyone she met. She cherished her time with family and friends, who fondly called her, “Sue Lee”; but to her granddaughters she was “Meme”. She loved nothing better than spending time and caring for her granddaughters. She was the best “Meme” ever. She is survived by her husband, Bill Thomasson; two sons, William Brandon Thomasson and wife, Eleshia, and Jon Tyler Thomasson and wife, Christie; five granddaughters, Madison, Mackenzie, Kilynn, Kinzley, and Adilynn; two sisters, Shirley Baker Ross and Glenda Baker Tolson and husband, Bob; one brother James Samuel “Sam” Baker and wife, Vickey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Steve Mann officiating. Burial was in Pattsville Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Tim West, Jerry West, Riley Baker, Josh Baker, Jeremy Thomasson, James Thomasson and Jim Jolley.
