Obituary:
Frances Lucille Green Cotton, age 97, of Monticello, AR, died Friday, August 2, 2019, at her home. She was born March 25, 1922, in Warren, AR, a daughter of the late Issac Wilburn Green and Renna Coker Green. Also preceding her in death was her spouse James Vernon Cotton, brothers Benny Harding Green and Kenneth W. Green, a daughter in law Janet Norris. Mrs. Cotton was a retired Avon representative and one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Survivors are two sons Charles Wilburn Cotton and spouse Debra of Monticello, AR, and Kenneth Floyd Norris of Houston, TX; three grandchildren; Cynthia April Norris, Christopher Norris and Mathew Vernon Cotton, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, at Frazer’s Chapel with Scott Roberts officiating. Burial was in Hickory Springs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bob Hayes, Billy Burroughs, Ricky Fenton, Keith Langley, Randall Webb, and Andrew Webb. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Green, Charlie Green, Tony Norris, Jim Beene, Jerry Tucker, Clifford Burroughs, and Hayden Cotton.

Message: I have fond memories of Mrs. Lucille. She visited me often when I lived in Monticello. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, she would visit me often. She always tried to guide me in the right direction. And yes, I loved buying my Avon from her. When I worked part-time at Immanuel Baptist Church, she would stop by the office for a visit on her way home on Barkada Road. I loved her so much. Enjoyed every visit. Very sweet lady!
