Betty Jane Collins Carr, age 89, of New Edinburg, AR, died Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Chapel Woods Health & Rehabilitation. She was born November 10, 1929, in Warren, AR, a daughter of the late Eric Collins and Pearl Burks Collins. Betty was a retired bookkeeper for Jack Winter, a member of Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church, and the widow of Eddie Carr who died January 20, 2003. They were united in marriage August 1, 1947. Also preceding her in death was a son Curtis Carr, and sisters Lucille McCauley, Marietta Poole, and Evelyn Ann Collins. Survivors are two daughters Sherry White and spouse Bill of Warren, AR, Carolyn Inzer and spouse David of England, AR. A daughter in law Wanda Carr of New Edinburg, AR. Eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. David Inzer and Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Luke Vickers, Chris Harper, Patrick Smith, Josh Inzer, Logan Stokes, and Greg Stokes. Memorials are preferred to Emmaus Missionary Baptist Church, 60 Harrelson Road, New Edinburg, AR, 71660.
