James W. Lee, Age 90 of Old Hickory, TN. a native of Warren, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Birdie Hooper Lee; brother, Billy Martin Lee; sisters, Marilyn Forrest and Maxine Forrest. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Sybil Burks Lee; daughters, Cheryl Fran (Bill) Pickerd, Carol Ann (Greg) Sanders; grandson, Joel (Hailey) Pickerd of Corvallis, OR; granddaughters, Erica Pickerd (Jeff) Barlow of Clinton, WA, Leanna Sanders and Savannah Sanders of Mt. Juliet, TN; great-granddaughters; Gabrielle Barlow and Olivia Barlow of Clinton, WA; great-grandson, Blake Pickerd; sister, Merline Pinson. James will be remembered as a devoted and loving provider and a friend to many. After his marriage to Sybil, August 30, 1947, he became a Journeyman sheet metal worker. As they followed his career, it led them to live in several states. He worked 37 ½ years at that trade before he retired from sheet metal local #177 Nashville, TN. Mr. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church, Old Hickory, TN., a member of Centre Star Masonic Lodge #409 F.&A.M. Funeral Service was Wednesday, May 8 at 2:00 PM at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bales officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Warren, AR. Active pallbearers were Alan Herring, Randy Peek, Steve Jones, Jeffery Forrest, Tracy Forrest, and Gary Pruitt. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the charity of your choice.
