Royce Rusty Delbert Curry

Royce (Rusty) Delbert Curry, age 84, of Lake Village, AR, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at his home after an extended illness. Born May 31, 1934, he was the son of W. G. and Erma Trammell Curry, of Rye, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Juanita Spakes Curry, who he married April 22, 1955. Royce attended Woodlawn Public Schools. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Ft. Bragg N.C. in the Chemical Corps as a trainer. He was a farm manager in Chicot County before his retirement. Before his illness, he was an outdoorsman and avid hunter. He is survived by his son, Michael D. Curry (Joanna) of Fayetteville, AR, and one grandson, Adam Curry, also of Fayetteville, AR. Graveside services was 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at Union Cemetery in Rye, AR with the Rev. Boyd Savage officiating. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Marty Albright, Gates Goza, Wes Loflin, Donnie Jones, Rodney Farmer, and Hunter Buatt. Honorary pallbearers were John Hunter Buatt, Johnny Murphy, Carol Womack, Donald Curry, Harold Fritts, and Ted Price.
