Obituary:
Dorothy Lou Blankenship Lewis, age 77, of Warren, AR, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at her home. She was born December 25, 1940, in Morrilton, AR, a daughter of the late Vaughn White Blankenship and Lottie Belle Slaughter Blankenship. Dorothy was a retired registered nurse, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class, past president of the Warren Womanís Club, and a 1958 graduate of Hermitage High School. She married James Daniel (J.D.) Lewis on December 17, 1960, and he died June 7, 2001. Also preceding her in death was a great-grandchild. Survivors are one son Richard Daniel Lewis, SR, and spouse Deborah of Greenville, AL. One daughter Jennifer Dawn Lewis of Monticello, AR. Four grandchildren Missy Alford and spouse B.J., Lynn Griffin, Rachel Lewis, and Richie Lewis. Nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, at Frazerís Chapel with Rev. David Richie and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Marilyn Patrick was pianist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Richie Lewis, Steve Mullins, B.J. Alford, and Bruce Shields. Memorials preferred to the Warren Library, 115 W. Cypress, Warren, AR 71671.
