Message: I was a classmate of Shelton in the WHS Class of 1961. Over the years our small group has become closer to one another and several of us reconnected with Shelton and learned more about his life, contributions, and his family after graduation. Shelton was a solid citizen, a good man and a true American to whom his Country, along with the rest of us, owe a debt of gratitude. I remember Shelton as a quiet, steady and good man, dependable classmate, and one of the good reasons to benefit from growing up in Warren, Arkansas. Rest in Peace Shelton, your family, your community and your peers will miss, but not forget you. I am late in making this tribute to our classmate due to delayed information about Shelton. May the Peace and Comfort of the Lord ease your loss, and know that for those of us who shared and benefitted from Sheltons presence in our early years, he will forever be a part of our good memories of Warren.
