J.W. Hardin, age 85, of Warren, AR, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at his home. He was born November 22, 1932, in Forrest City, AR, a son of the late Thomas Norris Hardin and Maude Jonke Hardin. J.W. was graduate of North Little Rock High Class of 1950, and an Arkansas A&M graduate Class of 1958 as a registered forester, a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1950 till 1954, in his early years he worked in timber procurement for NeKoosa- Edwards for 3 years, worked for the Arkansas State Forestry Commission for 3 years and retired from Potlach Corporation as a forestry supervisor on May 4th, 1991. He was a member, Sunday School teacher and deacon of Corinth and Westside Baptist Church for 40 years and a Gideon. He married Joyce Dean Crosby Hardin on June 4, 1951, and she died September 7, 2013, 2 brothers Raymond Hardin and James Hardin, 3 sisters Ines Hughes, Irma Hardin and Kathleen Davis also precede him in death. Survivors are two sons Jerry Wayne Hardin of Jordantown, TX, Rusty Hardin and spouse Tammy of Banks, AR. One daughter Glenda Hardin Good of Warren, AR. Three grandchildren Dustin L. Hardin of Springdale, AR, Danny Good of Deridder, Louisiana, and Ty Good of Brewer, New York. 2 great-grandchildren Isabella and Antonio. Graveside service was 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22nd at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Danny Kelly officiating. Arrangements were by Frazerís Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ben Garner, Rusty Rowell, Jerry West, Kenneth McDougald, Guy Johnson, Frank Valentine, and Jimmy Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Klay McKinney and Senior Adult Sunday School Class at Westside Baptist Church.
