Message: I loved my Uncle Jamie more than words will ever express. My mother was his sister, and he was always a constant in my life. I could depend on him, and I always had the security of knowing he would be there for me. Yes, I already miss him, but I also know he fought the good fight and is now without pain - living a life of peace and tranquility with God and so many others who are so thrilled to be with him. Name: David Hargis
Message: Many of his former players emailed one another this past week, sharing our experiences with Coach Jamie Raper. One former player from the mid 1960s wrote He was a dominant presence in my high school and a much revered man in Warren. I was just plain scared to death of him. I think he was one of the few people who saw through all of us. He never smiled in my direction. He also told me I ran like a goose. If he had chased me, he would have seen that I actually could have run much faster than he thought. Coach Raper, who had a truly great sense of humor, would have laughed at this observation.
