Ruth Savage Waterfield, age 85, of Warren, Arkansas died Tuesday October 12, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. She was born July 23, 1919 in Bradley County a daughter of the late Fate Savage and Callie Sipes Savage. She was a homemaker, member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the widow of Dewey Ed Waterfield who died May 30, 1999. They were united in marriage August 9, 1941. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Ladane Savage, Joe Keith Savage, Tim Savage and a sister Marcia Leece McClain. Survivors are 4 sons James Dewey Waterfield, Lees Summit, Mo, Willard Turner Waterfield, Orrick, Mo, Johnny Bob Waterfield, Warren, Ark. and David Edward Waterfield, Hampton, Ark; 2 daughters Wilma Jean Samford, Blue Eye, Mo. and JoAnn Alexander, Kansas City, Kan; 3 brothers Carl Savage and Kenneth Savage both of Warren, Ark, Jerome Savage, Detroit, Mich; 4 sisters Retha Knight, Vashti Yorkdale, Roberta Smith all of Warren, Ark. and Katrina Hicks, Little Rock, Ark; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Friday October 15, Frazerís Chapel by Rev. Garry W. Alverson. Janice Sullivan was the organist and Rev. Alverson was the soloist. Burial was in Adams-Singer Cemetery near Warren by Frazerís Funeral Home. Pallbearers were James Kitchens, Jimmy Dale Camp. Wade Groves, Mike Gaulden, Ron Renfro and Thurman Chappell.
