Message: Mrs Kersey was my wife's roommate at Briarwood rehab. She was wonderful to be around and was a big help to my wife who died in September 2007. Since she left Briarwood I have occassionally called her to see how she was doing. Just yesterday morning I planned to make a call and then read the obit in the Democrat-Gazette. I will miss talking to her. May she rest in peace

Message: Jerry & I loved Ms. Ruth. We lived next door to her for over 10 years, and she always had a big smile and a kind word for everyone who crossed her path. She epitomized what we should all want to be when we grow up: kind, thoughtful, interested in others, generous, and caring. She also listened without judgement.
